DICE KAYEK
A Paris house that thinks of clothing as volume: a shoulder, a curve, a line held in place. Nothing is left to chance, everything is built.
A member of the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode and winner of the Jameel Prize at the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Ege sisters' label practises a learned couture beneath a clear surface.
At Le Shop 17, the selection brings together what the house does most recognisably: embellished tailoring, hand embroidery, sequins and tweed.
Dice Kayek was born in Paris in 1992, driven by two Turkish sisters, Ece and Ayse Ege. Ece is the artistic director, Ayse runs the business. The first collection amounted to fifteen white poplin shirts, an exercise in style that was enough to catch the industry's attention. By 1993 the house was showing its first ready-to-wear collection in Paris.
In 1994, Dice Kayek joined the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, of which it has been a member ever since. The house claims an almost architectural approach to clothing: it works on form, structure and detail, and looks for a balance between tradition and modernity, harmony and contradiction.
In 2010 the Istanbul Contrast collection was shown at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, before travelling to Istanbul Modern and then, in 2011, to Amsterdam. Three years later, in 2013, Dice Kayek won the Jameel Prize at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Few fashion houses can claim such a double status, at once a city wardrobe and a museum piece.

Come and discover Dice Kayek in Cannes
Le Shop 17 welcomes you at 15 rue Notre-Dame, 06400 Cannes, a few minutes from la Croisette and at the foot of le Suquet. Dice Kayek pieces are best appreciated up close: the embroidery, the trims, the way a shoulder holds its shape all show better in the fitting room than in a photograph. Our team is here Monday to Saturday from 10am to 7pm to advise on size, on how to combine pieces and on alterations, whether for an evening during the Festival, a wedding on the Riviera or an everyday wardrobe. To reserve a piece or check availability, call +33 (0)4 93 39 46 46, write to info@leshop17.com or reach us on WhatsApp at https://wa.me/33626677612.
