Cannes Yachting Festival
From September 8 to 13, 2026, the Vieux Port and Port Canto become Europe's largest in-water yacht show. A week of plenty of walking, a little sweating, and the occasional dinner on board.
Le Shop 17 has put together two wardrobes: one for walking the docks in full sun, the other for evening cocktails, on board or at the festival's partner hotels.
Daytime: walking the docks in comfort
Between the Vieux Port and Port Canto, visits happen standing, in the sun, often for several hours at a stretch. The teak platforms heat up, the gangways are narrow, and you need to move from one appointment to the next without going back to change. The rule: breathable fabrics, fluid silhouettes that don't cling, and shoes you can forget you're wearing.
We favor shirt dresses in poplin or linen, flowing silk trousers that move with you as you walk, and above all a wide-brimmed hat: under the September sun, a Maison Michel hat is not an accessory, it's a tool.
Evening: dinner on board or at partner hotels
Once the sun goes down, the pace changes. Cocktails on board, dinners at the Carlton or the Majestic, receptions in suites overlooking the bay: daytime dress gives way to fabrics that catch the light, more structured bags, and a noticeably dressier look, without ever tipping into too much.
Our practical tips for festival week
Pack a change of outfit if you're alternating between dock visits and evening engagements: the day and evening pieces in this selection pack easily into the large raffia tote. As for shoes, choose flat, stable soles: the festival's decking and gangways are unforgiving of both thin heels and slippery soles.
