TFWA World Exhibition: a week's wardrobe
From September 27 to October 1, 2026, the Palais des Festivals in Cannes hosts the TFWA World Exhibition, the world's leading event for travel retail and duty free. Four packed days, moving between stands, supplier meetings and networking evenings on the Croisette.
Le Shop 17 has put together a selection of pieces designed for a capsule suitcase: few pieces, many combinations, from comfortable-chic by day to elegant for the evenings.
A trade show like TFWA means a great deal of walking, changing conversation partners every half hour, and moving straight into cocktails and business dinners once evening comes. The question is never "what should I wear", but "how many outfits can I build with as little luggage as possible". That is exactly the logic of the capsule wardrobe: a handful of quality pieces, designed to recombine with one another, in a tight palette that never clashes.
For four days at the show, Le Shop 17 recommends starting with a common base, two or three tops, a pair of trousers and a versatile dress, then adding two statement pieces: a structured blazer for the day and a bag that shifts register between the stand and dinner.
The daytime base: comfortable and structured
During the day, comfort comes first without giving up polish: a blazer that structures the silhouette without stiffness, a shirt that won't crease after eight hours, and fluid trousers that keep pace with walking between the halls of the Palais des Festivals.
The piece that changes everything by night
In the evening, show days carry on into cocktails and business dinners on the Croisette. There's no need to repack an entire suitcase: an understated dress and a bag that changes register are enough to transform a day outfit into an evening one.

Four days, one suitcase: the principle
With these nine pieces, the math is simple: two blazers, two shirts, a pair of trousers, a cardigan, a dress and two bags are enough to build a different outfit every day, without ever repeating the exact same silhouette.
- Day 1 Fine-stripe shirt + Alexandre trousers + Miller blazer. The Joseph M bag for the day.
- Day 2 Charlie shirt + Stellent jacket + cashmere cardigan in case the halls feel cool.
- Day 3 Black Shirt Dress alone by day, Miller blazer on top for meetings.
- Day 4 Back to the Alexandre trousers with the fine-stripe shirt, the Miller blazer back in play.
- Every evening Black Shirt Dress or the Charlie shirt tucked into the trousers, the black Lulu S bag taking over from the Joseph M.
The logic fits in one sentence: the statement pieces, the Miller blazer and the Black Shirt Dress, come back several times without ever feeling repetitive, because they change context each time. That is the whole point of a wardrobe designed as a system rather than as isolated outfits.
Try it on before you go
Putting together a capsule suitcase works far better in the boutique than online: you can see how the blazer falls over a given shirt, how the bag pairs with a given dress, and what's still missing. Le Shop 17 offers a private appointment to prepare for show week before September 27.
