New house
Max & Moi, Parisian cashmere as a family legacy
It is the newest house at Le Shop 17. Max & Moi arrives on rue Notre-Dame with its Fall/Winter 2026 collection, Avalanche: a generous, enveloping wardrobe where cashmere, leather and silk are worn with natural elegance.
Behind the brand stands a Parisian family that has been working noble materials since 1925. Today, Emma Lederer, the house's artistic director, signs the collections.
In Cannes, between a morning at the Palais des Festivals and dinner in Le Suquet, these are exactly the pieces you keep on from morning to night.
A family story since 1925
The story begins in Paris in 1925 with Max Lederer, a master furrier who worked for the greatest Parisian houses of his time. The business grew over the generations of the Lederer family, up to Hervé Lederer, who represents the third generation.
His sons, Elie and Alexis Lederer, then created Max & Moi: a high-end women's ready-to-wear house where exceptional materials, contemporary cuts and attention to detail shape an elegance that is both chic and relaxed. Born from fur and leather work, the family know-how gradually opened up to cashmere, which has become the house signature.
Cashmere as a signature
For Emma Lederer, cashmere is the house signature: a living material she reinvents season after season. Soft, fine, durable and naturally thermoregulating, it is just as welcome in winter as on sunny days.
Max & Moi is also known for its creative knitwear: textures, stitch play, shimmering effects, colour contrasts and combinations of cashmere, wool, silk, leather or suede. Every collection brings new exclusive developments. Buttons, prints and embroideries are also created exclusively for the house.
Leather, Max Lederer's legacy, remains at the heart of its identity. Its stretch leather leggings have become an iconic piece, worn as easily with an oversized sweater as with a silk blouse.
Avalanche, the Fall/Winter 2026 collection
For winter 2026, Max & Moi unveils Avalanche, a generous collection bringing together signature knits, emblematic leather, stretch silk and Furever, the house's faux fur that looks truer than nature.
The palette combines luminous whites, shades of beige and mocha, blues and garnet, with touches of pink. Chunky or second-skin knits, intarsia, jacquards, leather or silk details: the outer layers, often reversible, are layered and reinvented throughout the season.
Another highlight of the season: the house monogram, unveiled in 2023 (two inverted Ms forming a heart), dresses the iconic Belle jeans for the very first time.
Why we chose it for Cannes
Max & Moi speaks exactly to our clients: chic pieces that never look overdone, moving easily from a meeting at the Palais des Festivals to lunch on the Croisette. A cashmere knit over the shoulders as evening falls, a silk blouse under a blazer, leather leggings with a loose sweater: this wardrobe works all year round on the French Riviera.
And as always at Le Shop 17, we take our time: fittings, advice on sizes and on pairings with the other houses in the boutique, to build a look that feels like you.
