Cannes, November 30 to December 3
ILTM returns to Cannes
Every year as winter approaches, the Palais des Festivals becomes the global meeting point of luxury travel. Exceptional hotels and resorts, destinations, travel designers and high-end travel advisors come together in Cannes for ILTM, the International Luxury Travel Market.
The 2026 edition runs from Monday, November 30 to Thursday, December 3. Four days of appointments, talks and evening events, in a city that knows the codes of luxury hospitality better than most.
Here is what to know about the show, how to enjoy Cannes in early winter, where to go luxury shopping, and why Le Shop 17, a women's multi-brand concept store, is worth a detour between appointments.
What is ILTM?
ILTM, short for International Luxury Travel Market, is described by the Palais des Festivals as the leading business-to-business event for the luxury travel industry, and as the world's largest concentration of high-end travel professionals. The Cannes edition is the flagship show of the ILTM portfolio, which also runs events on other continents.
The format is distinctive: luxury travel brands meet hand-selected buyers, largely high-end travel advisors and agencies, through pre-scheduled appointments. The ILTM network reports more than 85,000 of these meetings every year. The program also includes educational sessions, networking time and parties.
A truly international gathering
ILTM brings professionals to Cannes from all over the world: hotel groups, independent properties, destinations and tourism boards, bespoke travel specialists, all meeting buyers who plan trips for a demanding clientele. This is not a consumer show: most of the business happens one-to-one, on the stands and in the meeting areas of the Palais.
Who attends ILTM?
The ILTM crowd speaks the language of luxury every day. Travel advisors, hotel sales directors, destination managers and specialist journalists spend their working lives designing exceptional stays for very demanding clients. Many travel a long way to be here and discover a different side of Cannes, far from the buzz of summer.
These visitors have a sharp eye for detail and quality. They value discreet addresses, personal service and houses with a story, exactly what they recommend to their own clients.
Cannes during ILTM
In late November and early December, Cannes shows a very different face from summer: winter light over the bay, terraces often sunny at lunchtime, and a quieter Croisette where you can walk at your own pace. The grand hotels of the Croisette and the restaurants of Le Suquet host business dinners, and the city starts dressing up for the festive season.
Between appointments, a walk up to Le Suquet and the Château de la Castre, a stop at the Forville market or a boat ride to the Lérins Islands is enough for a change of scene. For those flying private, Cannes-Mandelieu airport, dedicated to business aviation, is just a few kilometres from the city centre.
Luxury shopping and fashion in Cannes
Cannes is one of the great luxury shopping destinations on the French Riviera. Along the Croisette, the boutiques of the major fashion houses line up facing the sea, steps from the grand hotels. Running parallel, rue d'Antibes gathers fashion and beauty stores, while the streets of the centre are home to independent boutiques and concept stores with more discreet finds.
For ILTM visitors, used to the most exclusive addresses in the world, the real reward is finding what you do not see everywhere: a couture house, a designer, a piece chosen with care. Our Cannes shopping guide covers the neighbourhoods worth knowing.
